Supetar (Croatian pronunciation: [sǔpetar] is a town on the northern side of the Dalmatian island of Brač, in the Split-Dalmatia County, in Croatia.
With a population of 3,326, it is the island’s largest town. It is accessible by ferry (Jadrolinija, the ferry ride from the mainland city of Split takes 50 minutes) or via Brač Airport which is located 30 kilometres to the southeast.

Old Supetar was situated on the small peninsula where there is now a graveyard. The settlement came to an end during the early Christian era. In the late Middle Ages a new settlement started around the bay known as St. Peter’s, from which the town derives its name. “Sv” stands for “Sveti”, meaning saint, therefore it takes its name from Saint Peter, which is the name’s English equivalent translation.

Today Supetar offers everything you need but still has that lovely small town charm. Perfectly situated only 50 minutes from Split by ferry, it is also a great point to explore the island.

In shopping centres, you can find everything from grocery to clothes. There are no big brands to buy there, but it is enough for everyday need. If you have no car, there are many small shops all around the town. In the centre, you can also find small boutiques with clothes.

Supetar has a small market as well as a fish market with local products situated near the bus station and ferry port in the city centre.

There are many souvenirs shop in the city centre, too. The most authentic souvenirs from this island are stone and olive oil. You can find small producers in the port and there a few olive shops with local products.

Small pub BEER GARDEN is our favourite. It is a great place where locals like to hang in the evenings. You can try Croatian beer and burgers. Locals are also big coffee lovers and can spend hours in the morning and afternoons sitting on open terrace bars on Riva (port in the centre of the city) near the sea. Choose one of the many cafes there! Almost every beach has one with a great cocktail offer.

For dinner, we recommend VINOTOKA, very good food offer, especially fish. PEPERONCIN is a nice pizza place. If you have a car and want to go around the island, we recommend KAŠTIL GOSPODNETIĆ and KOPAČINA. They are all 15 min drive from Supetar but make sure to make a reservation first.

The beaches in Supetar offer plenty of facilities such as water sports, bars and sunbed and parasol rental. You can rent a scooter or a car and explore island beaches outside Supetar like nearby BABIN LAZ. A less than an hour-long car trip takes you to famous ZLATNI RAT beach in Bol.

Rent a car or a scooter and go around the island. There are many rentals in the city. It is the best recommendation we can give you. Go to the local tourist office (in the Supetar port), get some information and go around. Rent a boat and explore beautiful beaches or pay for a guided boat trip. Brač is an amazing island just like all the Dalamatia. Take time and explore.

Gospodnetić family do not only rent an apartment, but we are also all over this island, doing everything. We are in agriculture, we are in gastronomy and in adventure tourism. This is a list of thing we do that you can not miss!

Placed in beautiful village Dol, Kaštil Gospodnetić, our second family house, is agrotourism – restaurant.
Taste homemade dishes in our renaissance tavern or on our baroque terrace overlooking the valley, the sea and the mountains. You will feel like you are at home with friends and family as you truly experience what life on the island is all about. Tranquillity, afternoon summer breeze, symphony created by the sound of a village: roosters crowing, donkeys and horses perform melodies, crickets sing its song. Get away from the hustle & bustle, enjoy the authentic atmosphere of the island and feel like at home!

We recommend making reservation. Contact us as your host in Natalia apartments or visit web site
