OUR RESTAURANT AND TOURS

Our Gospodnetić family also runs a traditional restaurant and offers storytelling tours and original souvenirs. We are situated in the village of Dol, only 15 minutes drive from Supetar.

This is a list of things we do that you can not miss!

Placed in the beautiful village of Dol, Kaštil Gospodnetić, our second family house, is an agrotourism – restaurant.
Taste homemade dishes in our Renaissance tavern or on our baroque terrace overlooking the valley, the sea and the mountains. You will feel like you are at home with friends and family as you truly experience what life on the island is all about. Tranquillity, afternoon summer breeze, the symphony created by the sound of a village: roosters crowing, donkeys and horses perform melodies, crickets sing its song. Get away from the hustle & bustle, enjoy the authentic atmosphere of the island and feel at home!

We recommend making reservation. Contact us as your host in Natalia apartments or visit web site www.konobadol.com
or see the menu and send an e-mail kastilgospodnetic@gmail.com.
You can also contact us on +385917997182 Ermano Gospodnetić.

ABOUT SUPETAR

Supetar (Croatian pronunciation: [sǔpetar]) is a charming town situated on the northern side of the Dalmatian island of Brač, within the Split-Dalmatia County of Croatia. Enriched with a population of approximately 3,326 residents, it proudly holds the title of the island’s largest town. Accessible through various means, Supetar offers a unique blend of accessibility and natural beauty. Visitors can reach this enchanting destination by ferry, with Jadrolinija providing a picturesque 50-minute journey from the mainland city of Split. For those opting for air travel, Brač Airport stands as a convenient gateway, situated a mere 30 kilometres to the southeast of the town. With its rich history, stunning landscapes, and vibrant community, Supetar promises an unforgettable experience to all who venture to its shores.

The historical setting of the old town of Supetar provides a fascinating glimpse into the evolution of the settlement over the centuries. The original location, situated on a small peninsula which is now the site of a graveyard, marked the early stages of Supetar’s existence. It is intriguing to observe how this early settlement gradually waned during the early Christian era, paving the way for a new chapter in the town’s history.

With the onset of the late Middle Ages, a fresh wave of development and activity emerged, this time centred around the bay known as St. Peter’s. This new nucleus of the town not only brought renewed vitality to the area but also led to the naming of the town itself as Supetar. The etymology of the name adds an enriching layer to the town’s identity, as “Sv” symbolizes “Sveti” in Croatian, meaning saint, thus directly linking the town’s name to Saint Peter.

Today Supetar offers everything you need but still has that lovely small-town charm. Perfectly situated only 50 minutes from Split by ferry, it is also a great point to explore the island. This charming town is nestled on the northern coast of the picturesque island of Brač, surrounded by stunning natural beauty and crystal-clear waters. The town’s quaint streets are lined with charming cafes, local shops, and historic architecture, creating a welcoming and authentic atmosphere for visitors to enjoy. Whether you’re sipping coffee at a local cafe, strolling along the scenic promenade, or discovering the rich history of the area, Supetar offers a delightful blend of relaxation and exploration. Additionally, the island of Brač is a treasure trove of natural wonders, from its tranquil coves and beaches to its rugged interior, perfect for adventure seekers and nature enthusiasts. From Supetar, you can easily embark on memorable excursions to discover the island’s hidden gems and breathtaking landscapes.

EXPLORE

SHOP

In shopping centres ( LIDL, KONZUM, TOMMY ) you can find everything from groceries to clothes. There are no big brands to buy there, but it is enough for everyday needs. If you have no car, there are many small shops all around the town (STUDENAC). In the centre, you can also find small boutiques with clothes.

Supetar has a small market as well as a fish market with local products situated near the bus station and ferry port in the city centre.

SOUVENIRS

There are many souvenir shops in the city centre, too. The most authentic souvenirs from this island are stone and olive oil. You can find small producers in the port and a few olive shops with local products. But you can always check on butizica.com and ask for a delivery.

DRINK&EAT

The town of Supetar has many dining options for different tastes. Whether you want fast food or traditional tavern food, you can find it here. The locals love coffee and often spend a lot of time at open terrace bars by the port, called the riva. There are many cafes by the riva, each with its own charm. The beaches also have beach bars with a variety of cocktails.

In the realm of dining experiences, besides our restaurant Kaštil Gospodnetić, there are numerous other culinary gems in Supetar and its vicinity waiting to be discovered. Whether you’re seeking local delicacies, international flavours, or innovative culinary creations, the gastronomic scene in and around Supetar is sure to captivate your taste buds..

BEER GARDEN

Small pub BEER GARDEN is our favorite. It is a great place where locals like to hang out in the evenings. You can try Croatian beer and burgers.

NONA ROKA

The new family restaurant has very good food offers, especially fish and pasta. It is a traditional restaurant owned by a long-time experienced chef. Nona Roka opened recently but it has become a local favorite and is in high demand, so reservations are mandatory.
It is located a little bit out of Supetar, by the road to Postira, surrounded by Mediterranean landscape and the sea.

KONOBA KALA

The owner of KALA is a young chef from Supetar, Dino Šeparović, who decided to include fish in almost all of his dishes in a very innovative way.
The location of this fine dine restaurant is in the very centre but hidden in a narrow alley surrounded by old stone Supetar houses.

GRILL GARDEN

The restaurant is located in a picturesque olive grove near the village of Mirca and is only a 5-minute drive from Supetar. There is a wonderful view from the restaurant’s terrace, and it also has an excellent, original offer of local food.

KONOBA KOPAČINA

This restaurant is also worth the drive. It is located in the village of Donji Humac and is a ten-minute drive from Supetar. This is the favourite restaurant of the islanders and one of the few that is open all year round. It has a large selection of food, but without a doubt, it is best known for its meat selection, especially the famous local lamb.

SWIM

The beaches in Supetar offer plenty of facilities such as water sports, bars and sunbed and parasol rentals. You can rent a scooter or a car and explore island beaches outside Supetar like nearby BABIN LAZ. A less than an hour-long car trip takes you to the famous ZLATNI RAT beach in Bol.
